Kearney’s own, Wilkins Hinrichs Stober Architects, will plan and design the new central Nebraska veteran’s home. The team brings over 35 years of experience to the challenge.
Wilkins Hinrichs Stober Architects (WHSA) knows what it takes to design a modern facility with home-like comforts. The nine member team has taken the lead in more than 100 senior centers, medical facilities and even some civic centers, schools and churches.
John Hilgert, director of veterans’ homes for Nebraska Health and Human Services says the group’s credentials set them apart. “Wilkins Hinrichs Stober Architects is uniquely qualified to oversee the development of the new Central Nebraska Veterans’ Home. I’m confident that their leadership will result in an outstanding new home that Nebraska veterans and communities in central Nebraska will be proud of.”
The architects are ready to begin work as soon as federal funding for the new Central Nebraska Veterans Home is approved. The project is currently ranked 22nd on the top 25 national Veteran Affairs priority list.
